·      Faculty of Dentistry at Tanta University was established in the academic year 1973/1974.

·       Faculty of Dentistry is located inside the Medical Campus of Tanta University, where it is mediated between Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy.

·      Faculty of Dentistry consists of two buildings, where the first building has seven floors, while the second building has six floors.

·      Faculty of Dentistry was built on the latest scientific systems, and the college contains eleven scientific departments.

·      Since the first moments of its establishment, the faculty has been keen to raise the level of the dental profession. For this purpose, the College was not satisfied with graduating an excellent elite of dentists only, but also opened the door for registration for postgraduate studies in various specialties.

·      The faculty contributes to an effective degree, through the faculty members and their assistants, in serving the community, as it receives large numbers of dental patients daily for free treatment in the various departments of the college, as a contribution to raising the health level and alleviating the suffering of the people of the country.

·      The faculty also conducts a dental survey on the villages surrounding the governorate and organizes dental convoys to all parts of the republic, including remote areas, to identify and treat oral and dental diseases prevalent in these areas, and this is done through the latest car equipped with dental units in the Middle East.

·      The faculty has an internal department for oral and maxillofacial surgery at the latest scientific levels.

·      The college has a public service center that provides paid treatment. It also includes many units such as laser therapy and a unit for people with special needs.
